Racan told reporters at the government he had publicly said
everything he thought about the Ante Gotovina case. He welcomed the
general's recent interview with a Croatian weekly, saying "he has
evidently realised that the situation he found himself in was not
promising".
Racan recalled he had been saying from the start that Gotovina must
make an additional step, and that it was evident that he and the
government had been right in this respect.
"I hope (the step) will be made, but I don't want to speculate on the
basis of positive signs," said the PM.
