BELGRADE COURT REJECTS SLJIVANCANIN'S APPEALS BELGRADE, June 27 (Hina) - The Belgrade county court's trial chamber has dismissed appeals submitted by attorneys of a Hague tribunal's indictee, Veselin Sljivancanin, to a decision
ordering detention for Sljivancanin and a decision that all conditions have been met for his extradition to the UN war crimes tribunal, a Belgrade daily, "Glas javnosti", writes Friday.
BELGRADE, June 27 (Hina) - The Belgrade county court's trial
chamber has dismissed appeals submitted by attorneys of a Hague
tribunal's indictee, Veselin Sljivancanin, to a decision ordering
detention for Sljivancanin and a decision that all conditions have
been met for his extradition to the UN war crimes tribunal, a
Belgrade daily, "Glas javnosti", writes Friday. #L#
The final decision on the extradition of Sljivancanin, indicted for
war crimes at Ovcara outside Vukovar in 1991, will be made by Human
and Minority Rights Minister Rasim Ljajic. The date of his transfer
will be set by the Serbian interior ministry in agreement with the
Hague tribunal.
Sljivancanin was arrested on June 12. Glas javnosti writes that at a
hearing before the county court, he said the indictment against him
was full of untruths.
