on Monday began its session, in the UN offices in Geneva, on the
rural development of developing countries. Also present is a
Croatian delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister Ivan Simonovic,
the Croatian mission in Geneva reported. #L#
The gathering, which is focusing on the integrated approach to the
rural development of developing countries with the purpose of
eradicating poverty and promoting sustainable development, was
opened by UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan who called on developed
countries to help others in the adoption of promoting strategies
and good management and make possible for them to have access to
their markets.
