According to a press release from the Croatian foreign ministry,
the Chinese minister expressed his government's readiness to
cooperate with the Croatian government in advancing bilateral
relations.
Simonovic informed Li about Croatia's priorities in foreign policy
and efforts Croatia was investing in joining the EU, to which Li
voiced understanding and support.
China supports and appreciates Croatia's successes in the
accession process to the EU which is China's strategic, political
and economic partner. It appreciates Croatia's leading role in the
region, as well as its contribution to the stabilisation of the
region, the press release says.
The two officials agreed that a joint committee on economic
cooperation should discuss details of economic cooperation in
Beijing in October. They also tackled the visit of Croatian Prime
Minister Ivica Racan to China.
