ZAGREB, May 26 (Hina) - Croatia's industrial production climbed by 6.8 percent in the February-April period this year in comparison to the same period in 2002, and rose by 0.2 percent compared to the period from November 2002 to
January 2003.

6.8 percent in the February-April period this year in comparison to
the same period in 2002, and rose by 0.2 percent compared to the
period from November 2002 to January 2003. #L#
According to figures released by the Central Bureau of Statistics,
the biggest increase of 16 percent in the last three months as
against February-April period in 2002 was registered in the mining
industry. The output in the manufacturing industry rose by 6.6
percent and by 4.3 percent in the provision of power, gas and water
supplies.
According to main industrial groups, the output in durable products
of mass consumption increased by 9.6 percent, and the output in non-
durable goods of mass consumption rose by 8.5 percent. The
production in the power sector rose by 6.8 percent, and the output
of intermediate goods rose by 6.3 percent and of capital goods by
2.2 percent in the past three months as against February-April
period 2002.
