PULA, May 24 (Hina) - Boris Kunst was unanimously re-elected president of the Association of Workers' Trade Unions of Croatia (URSH) at the union federation's second electoral congress in Pula on Saturday.

Kunst will hold the office until 2007.
The URSH forwarded several requests to the government from today's
congress, one of which is that before the end of its term, the
government adopt an integral development strategy which will
establish measures for resolving economic and social
difficulties.
Kunst urged all government ministers to focus the remainder of
their term on resolving the problems faced by Croatia and its labour
force instead of engaging in promotional competitions at
taxpayers' expense.
Kunst said trade unions would nominate their candidates at the next
elections because unions "too are also responsible for the
situation in Croatia's society".
