Addressing a news conference, the minister dismissed claims that
the scandal was in effect a conflict between the ruling coalition's
Social Democrats and the Croatian Peasant Party. Such claims "blur
facts and the real state of affairs," he said.
Pankretic reiterated the latest case of wheat sold from buffer
stocks was an obvious case of illegal activities. He said competent
bodies would establish if suspicion of economic crimes was
founded.
