The ministers said the excursions were the first part of the tourist
revival of the peninsula, a project they presented to reporters at
Konavle.
Crkvenac and Zupan-Ruskovic said the conversion of facilities on
the peninsula into some 300 four-star apartments would start soon.
The project's first of four phases will cost some 50 million kuna
(EUR6.6 million) which will be secured by state foundations for
development, employment and regional development, as well as
commercial banks, said Crkvenac.
The project of the tourist development of Prevlaka is exclusively a
Croatian government project and has nothing to do with Montenegro,
said the ministers, dismissing speculations that it was a joint
project by the two countries.
