Bozidar Pankretic said on Saturday his ministry would propose to
the government concrete measures to deal with the consequences of a
drought which has struck half Croatia's counties only when the
exact damage has been determined. #L#
Pankretic expects the counties which have been hit to suggest the
most appropriate way to help them.
He said the agriculture ministry "doesn't have a bag to distribute
money" to everyone who suffered because of the drought even though
it was willing to help as much as it could.
Pankretic talked about the drought and the disaster declared
because of it in Korivnica-Krizevci County with prefect Josip
Friscic and local representatives in Sveti Ivan Zabno
municipality.
