DUBROVNIK, May 7 (Hina) - A two-day convention of the HVIDR-a
association of Croatia's disabled war veterans ended in Dubrovnik
on Wednesday with the adoption of a set of conclusions. #L#
Attending the event were some 40 representatives from all county
branches, who were headed by HVIDR-a president Damir Varazdinec.
The adopted conclusions recall that Croatia won its independence
and territorial integrity in the Homeland Defence War, and strongly
oppose "the revision of Croatian history and the truth about the
Homeland War systematically being done by the incumbent
authorities".
Disabled war veterans strongly condemn Veterans' Minister Ivica
Pancic's statement denying HVIDR-a the right to get funds from the
state budget, and ask that competent bodies punish such behaviour,
which they say is impermissible and bureaucratic.
