March this year was 1,338,829, which is a 0.1% increase in relation

The number of people employed in companies was 1,043,837, an
increase of 0.1% in relation to the previous month. The number of
employees in crafts and free-lance professions was 233,695, which
is a 0.8% rise, read temporary data issued by the Central Bureau of
Statistics.
Independent farmers are the only group which saw a drop in
employment (3%).
The number of job-seekers in March was 355,808, which is 1.9% less
than in February.
The rate of registered unemployment (defined as the relation
between the number of unemployed people and the number of active
population) in March was 21%, as against 21.3% in February.
The unemployment rate among women was visibly higher and stood at
25.1%. Women account for 56.8% of the unemployed (202,000).
