ZAGREB, April 15 (Hina) - The number of unemployed persons registered at the Croatian Employment Bureau in March was 355,808, which is 1.9 percent less than the month before and 14.3 percent less than in March 2002.

registered at the Croatian Employment Bureau in March was 355,808,
which is 1.9 percent less than the month before and 14.3 percent
less than in March 2002. #L#
The number of persons who are no longer registered at the Bureau in
March was 23,848 of whom 14,118 found jobs, which is 6.8 percent
more than in the same month the year before. In the same period,
another 9,730 persons were erased from the Bureau's unemployment
list for other reasons. This is an increase of 31.2 percent in
relation to March 2002.
Of those who found jobs, 85.1 percent are on temporary employment
contracts. In the said period, 17,048 unemployed persons have
registered with the Bureau, which is 21 percent less than in last
year's March.
