One of Croatia's main priorities as it awaits the adoption of its
application for EU membership is the development of a national
model of social partnership between the government, unions and
employers, reads a message released by the Office.
Without social peace there can be no successful implementation of
reforms and development priorities, which should secure better
employment and improve the economic and social status of workers
and employers, as well as contribute to the general social
progress, the message said.
The Office supports the creation of an atmosphere facilitating
negotiations between the social partners so they can reach a
consensus on all relevant issues, the message read.
