ZAGREB, April 7 (Hina) - There were 355,808 Croatians on the dole in March, i.e. by 1.9 down from February and by 14.3 less in comparison to the number of the registered unemployed persons in March 2002.

A trend of a monthly fall in the unemployment rate, which began in
March 2002, resumed this March, after it was interrupted in
January, the head of the Croatian Employment Office (HZZ), Sanja
Crnkovic-Pozaic said at a news conference on Monday.
This March the number of the registered jobless persons fell by
6,800 as against February and dropped by 59,544 in comparison to
March last year.
