Bozanic said he saw his visit to Sarajevo as a sign of support to the
Catholic Church and the Croat people in Bosnia.
Sarajevo Archbishop Vinko Puljic, who accompanied the Croatian
guests on their tour around Sarajevo, said that this visit was a
sign of solidarity with the Church in Bosnia and was very important.
"It confirms the unity of the same people notwithstanding borders,"
Puljic said.
He added that the visit represented additional encouragement and
stimulation to the Church to continue fighting for its existence in
Bosnia where is was deeply rooted.
The head of the Franciscan monastery, Mile Babic, expressed great
satisfaction with Zagreb Archbishop's visit, saying this affirmed
an old tradition that churches provide support to each other.
