"This year we are celebrating the resurrection at a time when
anxiety and insecurity are spreading around the world, and when the
words Christ said to frightened women and apostles after the
resurrection are ringing in our ears much more strongly: 'Do not
fear!'," said Bozanic, recalling that Pope John Paul used these
very words to begin his pontificate a quarter of a century ago.
"Relying on these words by Christ, let us chase away all our
anxieties and fears of the future. Let there be among us more
understanding, mutual solidarity and charity, sensitivity to
others, and honesty," Bozanic said among other things.
"United in faith and love with you all, I wish you a happy Easter."
