This was stated by Economy Minister Ljubo Jurcic at a news
conference held after his meeting with representatives of the
international consulting company "McKinsey&Company", which
opened a regional office in Zagreb two months ago.
The company has made its name with different privatisation projects
in transition countries and its experts will speak about the
privatisation process in Croatia at the Zagreb conference, said
Jurcic. Ulrich Finke, head of the company's office in Zagreb, added
Croatia's economy stood a chance of good development.
Jurcic said that the June conference should gather some 100
participants.
McKinsey&Company is based in Germany, but its expert teams operate
all around the world. Apart from privatisation, they provide
consulting services for the oil industry, agriculture,
telecommunications, tourism, etc. The company has been present in
the region for ten years and the Zagreb office will cover the area
from Slovenia to Macedonia as well as the wider area, Fincke said.
