objectives, the establishment and protection of peace, security
and stability in the region being a priority, it was stated during
talks Croatian Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Zeljka
Antunovic held separately with the chairmen of the Turkish
parliament's committees on foreign affairs and internal affairs
and national security, Mehmet Dugler and Cengiz Kapetanoglu. #L#
Dugler, Kapetanoglu and Turkey's Defence Minister Vecdi Gonul
fully supported Croatia's bids to join NATO. They expressed belief
that once it became a NATO member, Croatia would greatly contribute
to preserving peace and security in the region. Minister Antunovic
commended Turkey as a reliable partner.
The talks also focused on economic co-operation, particularly with
regard to military products.
