Upon his arrival in Sarajevo, Lord Robertson said this visit showed
NATO's interest in the situation in Bosnia and the organisation's
orientation to the protection of peace.
Robertson and NATO ambassadors will hold talks with the chief
commander of the NATO-led Stabilisation Force in Bosnia, General
William Ward, and senior Bosnian officials.
Prior to his arrival, Robertson told the local media he was very
dissatisfied with the fact that nothing had been done to establish a
defence ministry on the state level in Bosnia. This is the basic
condition for Bosnia's joining the Partnership for Peace
programme.
