ZAGREB, March 12 (Hina) - The U.S. government has donated $5.5 million to the Croatian Defence Ministry for this fiscal year within the framework of the Foreign Military Financing (FMF) programme and $700,000 through International
Military Education and Training (IMET) programme, the U.S. Embassy in Croatia said in a statement on Wednesday.

million to the Croatian Defence Ministry for this fiscal year
within the framework of the Foreign Military Financing (FMF)
programme and $700,000 through International Military Education
and Training (IMET) programme, the U.S. Embassy in Croatia said in a

By this year, the U.S. government has donated $18.48 million within
the framework of the FMF and 4.4 million through the IMET, the
statement said.
The funds should help the Croatian defence ministry to modernise
its equipment and complete training goals, which improves the
interoperability of the Croatian Armed Forces and helps the country
to achieve its strategic goal - full membership of NATO, the
statement said.
