ZAGREB, March 13 (Hina) - The Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), Carla Del Ponte, gladly accepted last week's invitation to officially visit Zagreb, the Croatian government public
relations office said in a statement Thursday.

In a letter to a Croatian vice-premier and the head of the council
for cooperation with the ICTY, Goran Granic, "chief prosecutor Del
Ponte voiced interest to have immediate contacts with the Croatian
authorities which, in her opinion is the best way to solve open
issues in the bilateral cooperation".
Del Ponte also expressed satisfaction with the Croatian
government's determination to contribute to the realisation of the
ICTY goals, the statement said.
Due to her engagements, Del Ponte's visit to Croatia will take place
in the second half of April, the statement said.
