ZAGREB/THE HAGUE, March 13 (hina) - The president of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), Theodor Meron, said on Thursday he was shocked and appalled by the assassination of the Serb Prime Minister
Zoran Djindjic, the Hague-based tribunal said in a statement.
ZAGREB/THE HAGUE, March 13 (hina) - The president of the
International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY),
Theodor Meron, said on Thursday he was shocked and appalled by the
assassination of the Serb Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic, the Hague-
based tribunal said in a statement. #L#
Premier Djindjic's cooperation with the Hague tribunal brought
international justice closer to the region in which dreadful
atrocities were committed. His death is a crushing blow to
individual responsibility for the violation of international
humanitarian rights and the rule of law, judge Meron said.
