"Djindjic's murder is proof that the forces of terror in the region
have not been defeated. The German government, together with its
partners, will continue to be responsible for peace and stability
in the region," said Fischer after a meeting with his Slovene
counterpart, Dimitrij Rupel.
In a joint statement, Rupel and Fischer expressed their shock with
Djindjic's assassination. They said Djindjic had represented hope
for his country's future.
The two foreign ministers called on Serbian authorities to continue
in Djindjic's footsteps and persist in reforms.
