ZAGREB, March 10 (Hina) - Croatian business people invested 22.4 billion kuna in fixed assets in the first nine months of 2002, which was by 26.5 percent more than in the same period of 2001, the Financial Agency (FINA) reported on
Monday.

According to the same source, investors, located in the City of
Zagreb invested 12.7 billion kuna or 57% of all investments in
Croatia.
With regard to the criteria of ownership, the biggest share i.e.
54.3 percent related to the private sector.
In the January-September, a significant increase was registered in
investments in building facilities. The investments in the
construction sector accounted for 43.3 percent of all funds
invested in fix assets, and the FINA ascribed it to intensive
construction of roads.
