ZAGREB, Feb 26 (Hina) - A gathering of Croatian and Hungarian
businessmen was held in Zagreb on Wednesday under the auspices of
the Hungarian Agency for Incentives for Investments and
Development in Trade. The event drew 22 Hungarian companies that
could establish contact with 70 Croatian companies. #L#
The head of the trade office with the Hungarian Embassy in Zagreb
Tibor Suelt said he agency had sent more then 1,100 invitations to
Croatian companies. Meetings were held with about 70 of those who
responded to the invitation, which is considered quite positive.
Amongst the Croatian companies involved, there were some largest
companies such as the Rijeka-Zagreb Highway company (ARZ), Belje,
Astra, Konzum, Veterinaria and Osijek Airport.
Croatian-Hungarian trade increased last year by 32 per cent to
US$349.7 million dollars. Trade involved US$280.7 million worth of
good exported by Hungary to Croatia while Croatia only exported
goods to the value of US$69 million dollars to that neighbour.
