The verdict for war crimes will be pronounced on Thursday

The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the
former Yugoslavia, Carla Del Ponte, demanded of the Trial Chamber
to return with a verdict which would sentence Plavsic to 15-20 years
in prison, while the defence requested that Plavsic be sentenced to
no more than eight years because, according to her attorneys, any
other sentence would mean life in prison becuase of her age.
Plavsic pleaded guilty to crimes against humanity last year and in
return the ICTY prosecution dropped other charges, including
genocide.
