Economy Minister Ljubo Jurcic said an agreement to that effect
would enable an increase in trade with CEFTA member-countries and
facilitate access to the Central European market by Croatian
producers. Membership in the CEFTA should also speed up Croatia's
admission to the European Union, he said.
Dragica Zgrebec of the Social Democrats said the agreement would
replace current agreements with CEFTA member-countries (not
including Romania).
