ZAGREB, Feb 12 (Hina) - Of a total of 8.32 million tourists who vacationed in Croatia last year, 34.6% were accommodated in hotels and 21% in camps. Of 44.7 million overnight stays, 29 percent were realised in hotels and 27 percent in
camps.

According to the Central Bureau of Statistics, 2.8 million tourists
stayed in hotels last year, an 8% increase compared to the year
before, while 1.7 million tourists were accommodated in camps, an
increase of five percent.
Hotels accounted for most overnight stays - 13.05 million (an
increase of three percent), while camps accounted for almost 12
million overnight stays (2% more).
A million and a half tourists were accommodated in private rooms,
apartments and holiday houses, which is 18.2% of all tourists and an
increase of 11% compared to 2001. Private accommodation accounted
for 10.2 million overnight stays, an increase of nine percent.
Domestic tourists were staying mostly in hotels and private
accommodation, while foreign tourists mostly chose hotels and
camps.
