section of a semi-highway of the west part of the Istrian Epsilon
should begin in mid March, Croatian Construction, Public Works and

The construction costs of all three sections will amount to 138.4
million euros.
Pointing to the importance of this road, Cacic said that of a total
of 20 billion euros of Croatia's Gross Domestic Product, four
billion euros came from tourism of which 40 percent was realised by
Istria or up to 15-20 percent of GDP. Cacic believes that an
obstacle to the development of tourism in Istria was poor road
infrastructure.
