ZAGREB, Jan 31 (Hina) - Continuing Friday's parliament debate on a report on the audit of privatisation (from mid-2001 to October 2002), Democratic Centre whip Vesna Skare Ozbolt requested urgent proceedings and reports on moves taken
against those who had committed crimes in the process.

report on the audit of privatisation (from mid-2001 to October
2002), Democratic Centre whip Vesna Skare Ozbolt requested urgent
proceedings and reports on moves taken against those who had
committed crimes in the process. #L#
Ozbolt also asked the government to suggest amendments to laws and
undertake measures to prevent further negative consequences in the
privatisation process.
She opposed further privatisation under the existing model,
assessing that Croatia had evidently lost its credibility on the
Suncani Hvar hotel company privatisation.
Tonci Zuvela of the Social Democratic Party announced that the
party would move that the State Prosecution be entrusted with the
task to submit to the parliament a report on processes connected to
crimes in privatisation within 120 days. This would primarily
concern proceedings to sanction established irregularities and
illegitimate acts.
