ZAGREB, Jan 23 (Hina) - Croatia's parliament president Zlatko Tomcic on Thursday held talks with Greek Ambassador Dimitris Vidouris, addressing the current situation in Croatia in light of drawing closer to the European Union and the
presentation of priorities that Greece, as the Union's current chair, has regarding Southeast Europe.

priorities that Greece, as the Union's current chair, has regarding

Vidouris said Croatia was an important factor of stability in the
region and that Greece welcomed Croatia's efforts and results in
terms of various reforms, parliament said in a statement.
Tomcic reiterated Croatia's intention to officially apply for EU
membership by the end of February and asked Greece to support
Croatia in the process of drawing closer to the Union.
