Parliament on Friday elected a new government of that Bosnia-
Herzegovina entity at the helm of which for the next four years will
be Dragan Mikerevic who until now has been the Bosnian Minister of

The new government was elected with votes of MPs of the Serb
Democratic Party (SDS), the Party for Democratic Progress (PDP),
the Party for Democratic Action (SDA) and the Party for Bosnia-
Herzegovna (SBH) and some other minor parties.
In line with constitutional amendments dated 2002, the new
Republika Srpska government is for the first time since the Dayton
Agreement a multi-ethnic one.
Along with the premier and eight ministers, Serb nationals, also
appointed were five ministers who are Bosnian nationals and three
Croat ministers.
In his speech in parliament, premier Mikerevic announced that
special attention would be dedicated to resolving serious social
and economic problems in Republika Srpska.
