The new cabinet was supported by 54 MPs in the 90-seat Zbor, while 25
MPs voted against the new government, which has undergone very few
changes compared to the previous cabinet.
The vote of confidence was cast by members of four parties that make
up the ruling coalition, while opposition Social Democrats, New
Slovenia Party, Party of the Slovene Youth and Slovene National
Party deputies voted against the new government, as they do not
believe that it could accomplish two major objectives in the next
two years: the stabilisation of public institutions and cuts in the
inflation rate.
