ZAGREB, Jan 9 (Hina)- The Croatian government decided at a closed session on Thursday to dissolve the municipal council of Vojnic and appoint Vladimira Furac commissioner for the municipality.

session on Thursday to dissolve the municipal council of Vojnic and
appoint Vladimira Furac commissioner for the municipality. #L#
The government passed the decision because the council had not met
for more than three months, notes a statement issued by the
government's public relations office.
The commissioner's task will be to call a municipal election within
60 days.
The crisis in Vojnic is the result of lack of co-operation between
Social Democratic Party (SDP) and Independent Democratic Serb
Party (SDSS) councillors who are part of the municipal government.
