told reporters on Friday. #L#
Commenting on Croatia's dispute with Slovenia about the jointly-
owned Krsko nuclear power plant, Budisa said pre-arbitration
proceedings should be initiated.
Vice-Premier Slavko Linic's recent visit to Slovenia was a wrong
diplomatic step because his reaction to the issue of Ljubljanska
Bank's debt to Croatian depositors should have been clearer and
more determined, Budisa said.
Budisa said that his party's bench in parliament would suggest
initiating procedure to urgently change the Law on the
Confidentiality of Data and the Law on the Identification Card and
discontinue the issuing of new ID cards.
A party deputy in parliament, Zeljko Glavan, warned that the
removal of the personal identification number from ID cards would
cause problems in payment transactions and cost almost a billion US
dollars, which would have to be covered by tax-payers.
Glavan also criticised the government for making moves which he
said would have far-reaching consequences, such as the sale of big
corporations (the privatisation of the oil company INA).
