"In the past seven days I talked to former president Milutinovic
twice about his departure to The Hague. We agreed on all important
details, bearing in mind two circumstances - the fact that
Milutinovic is a president who terminated his mandate in a
democratic way and... that his health is really grave. We also
agreed that talks with (ICTY) officials be conducted regarding the
details of his departure to The Hague," Svilanovic told Belgrade's
daily "Blic".
Svilanovic expressed hope that the International Criminal tribunal
for the former Yugoslavia would consider the guarantees of the two
governments and that Milutinovic would be enabled to defend himself
in freedom.
