The newspaper says that if he travelled to The Hague next Wednesday,
Milutinovic might enter his plea as early as Friday. He is charged
with crimes against humanity and breaches of the laws and customs of
war in Kosovo in 1999, of which he is accused alongside Yugoslavia's
former President Slobodan Milosevic, former Prime Minister Nikola
Sainovic, and the military chief-of-staff at the time, Dragoljub
Ojdanic.
If he surrenders, Milutinovic will be accompanied by his defence
team and a government employee. Refusal to go will lead to his
arrest and transfer to the U.N. war crimes tribunal in The Hague
under police escort, Glas javnosti says.
