ZAGREB, Jan 4 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic on Saturday forwarded a message with best wishes to Zagreb-Ljubljana Metropolitan Jovan, the Serb Orthodox Church's dignitaries and faithful in Croatia who celebrate Christmas on
7 January in line with the Julian calendar.

faithful in Croatia who celebrate Christmas on 7 January in line

"Sending You the Christmas greetings, I am glad to be able to do so
with the feeling that in 2002 great progress was achieved in the
dialogue and cooperation between the Republic of Croatia and the
Serb Orthodox Church. I could felt such atmosphere during my visit
to the Serb Orthodox leadership's offices in Zagreb, and this was
concretised with the recent signing of the agreement which
regulates points of cooperation between the Croatian state and the
Serb Orthodox Church," read Mesic's message released by his
office.
Mesic also expressed hope that in 2003 all could in unison dedicate
their work to the desirable progress of their homeland.
The Croatian head of state forwarded a message with best wishes also
to all other Christians who celebrate Christmas on 7 January
according to the Julian calendar.
