Speaking of the situation in the border bay, Adlesic said it was important to discuss this contentious issue with representatives of Slovenia's new government.
She said the date of future presidential elections should be fixed, as well as the amount a candidate would spend on his or her campaign.
Adlesic said it was evident that some presidential campaigns were much more expensive than candidates were saying in public. She added squandering money on a presidential campaign was indicative of social insensitivity in a country with a high number of poor people.
Speaking of the powers of the head of state, Adlesic said the president had a big public influence. She added incumbent President Stjepan Mesic had failed to exercise his influence in the economy and the fight against corruption, but said he deserved credit for the foreign policy because he made "Croatia seem nicer in the world".
Adlesic said that both Mesic and the candidate of the ruling Croatian Democratic Union, Jadranka Kosor, were dangerous choices for the new head of state who would not make Croatia progress.
"I advocate a new and different Croatia, a young and educated country, unburdened by the legacy of the past," she said.
