PODGORICA, Dec 22 (Hina) - Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic has said that the "the promotion of relations with Croatia is one of the priorities of Montenegro's foreign policy" because Montenegro shares the border with Croatia on the land and at sea and the two countries have developed historical and other ties.

Djukanovic on Wednesday held talks with Croatia's Ambassador to Serbia-Montenegro, Tonci Stanicic, and the two agreed that "good relations between the two countries and fruitful cooperation contribute to the stability of the region and its integration into contemporary processes in the world", reads a statement released on the Montenegrin government's web site.

Djukanovic and Stanicic expressed satisfaction with the situation and prospects of traditionally friendly relations between Montenegro and Croatia.

Stanicic was cited on the web site as saying that there were significant possibilities of bilateral cooperation in the sectors of road infrastructure, tourism and maritime affairs.

Djukanovic welcomed Croatia's results in its efforts to join the European Union and NATO, while Stanicic said that Zagreb was willing to share with its neighbours its experiences from those processes.
