ZAGREB, Dec 16 (Hina) - Croatian Health Minister Andrija Hebrang hasundergone prostate surgery at the Urology Clinic in the Austrian townof Innsbruck, the Government Public Relations Office said in astatement on Thursday.
ZAGREB, Dec 16 (Hina) - Croatian Health Minister Andrija Hebrang has undergone prostate surgery at the Urology Clinic in the Austrian town of Innsbruck, the Government Public Relations Office said in a statement on Thursday.

The operation, performed on December 14, went well. Hebrang is feeling well and is expected to stay in hospital for about ten days.

Hebrang decided to undergo surgery at the Austrian clinic because it uses combined laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures that enable a speedier recovery. This method of treatment is not yet routinely used in Croatia.

The statement concluded by saying that the minister would bear the costs of the operation on his own.
