Croatian Foreign Ministry state secretary Hidajet Biscevic informed the Government on Thursday that in the negotiations Croatia had managed to avoid the 25-percent reduction of the debt, the only country to have succeeded in that.
The Government bound Finance Minister Ivan Suker to sign the agreement regulating the settlement of the Russian clearing debt.
Also today, the Government decided to extend the no-visa regime for Serbia and Montenegro citizens entering Croatia until 31 December 2005.
The Government allocated 25.4 million kuna for Bosnian Croats' health, culture and education programmes. Deputy Prime Minister Andrija Hebrang said the demand had been for 234 million kuna. Most of the money, 16.5 million, will go to education programmes.
The Government sent to Parliament for ratification a Croatia-Bosnia agreement on the avoidance of double taxation of income and property.
