"I'm travelling to Brussels tomorrow. I've received a letter from Dutch Prime Minister and EU chairman Jan Peter Balkenende (inviting me) to participate in the part of the European Council session at which decisions on EU enlargement will be made," Sanader said at a Government session.
He underlined that Croatia had done everything and would do everything to assure its European partners that it remained committed to all Copenhagen commitments and criteria, political criteria, and full cooperation with the UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague.
Sanader reiterated that Croatia wanted to solve the issue of fugitive General Ante Gotovina, as the only outstanding issue, as part of full cooperation with the Hague tribunal.
"The important thing is that on Friday we get a date for the start of talks. Whether it will be conditional or not is up to the European prime ministers, whom we will try to assure that Croatia's commitment to the Hague tribunal stands, regardless of Friday's decision," Sanader said.
