LJUBLJANA, Dec 1 (Hina) - Outgoing Slovene Prime Minister Anton Rop said at his end-of-term press conference in Ljubljana on Wednesday that his cabinet had not been most successful in attempts to solve outstanding issues with Croatia.

"No progress has been made, but the two sides need to reach agreement," Rop said, adding that "there will be more room for dialogue" when the new Slovene government began dealing with outstanding issues with Croatia.

Ivo Vajgl, who served as foreign minister in the Rop government, said on Tuesday that he was satisfied with the new government having the same position as the outgoing government regarding the relations with Croatia.

After the last elections which his Liberal Democracy of Slovenia (LDS) party lost, Rop will become a member in the new parliament.

Vajlg, a career diplomat, will become an advisor in the Office of the incumbent Slovene President Janez Drnovsek.

In the new Slovene government led by Prime Minister Janez Jansa, the new Foreign Minister will be Dimitrij Rupel. Rupel was also Foreign Minister in the last government until this summer when he fell out with PM Rop.
