SIBENIK GO ON HUNGER STRIKESIBENIK, Dec 2 (Hina) - A total of 32 detainees kept in custody in thedistrict prison in the southern Croatian town of Sibenik went onhunger strike on Wednesday protesting against unprofessional
andinefficient work of the Municipal and the County Courts in Sibenik.
SIBENIK, Dec 2 (Hina) - A total of 32 detainees kept in custody in
the district prison in the southern Croatian town of Sibenik went on hunger
strike on Wednesday protesting against unprofessional and inefficient work of
the Municipal and the County Courts in Sibenik.The inmates informed Justice ministers Vesna Skare Ozbolt of the strike
and their complaints and requested that the minister visit them.
The Central Office of the Prison System Department in the Justice
Ministry has been informed about the hunger strike. Spokeswoman for the
ministry Vesna Dovranic said the minister had also been informed but she was
currently on a visit to Brussels. The spokeswoman said the minister would be
informed in detail about the Sibenik prison case upon her return to Croatia.
