In the new Parliament, the DSK has 47 of 120 seats. Its coalition partners will be the Alliance for Kosovo's Future, which has nine seats, and the Albanian Democratic Christian Party, which has two. The agreement envisages that representatives of non-Serb minorities will also be part of the ruling coalition.
It is estimated that DSK leader Ibrahim Rugova will be Kosovo president for a second term, and that Alliance for Kosovo's Future leader Ramush Haradinaj will be appointed prime minister.
The opposition will comprise Hashim Thaqi's Kosovo Democratic Party, the second strongest party in Kosovo which won 30 parliamentary seats, and Veton Surroi's Citizens Initiative Ora. These parties have said the Kosovo Parliament will finally have a strong opposition.
