"On Friday the Sabor Presidency and the heads of the clubs of all parliamentary parties will hold a joint session on the political relations which have reached a high level of tensions between opposition parties and parties belonging to the ruling majority, particularly the HDZ," Seks, who is also a senior official of the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), told a news conference.
Asked by reporters who should be blamed for the tensions, Sabor Speaker said this was not about somebody's guilt and added that "responsibility lies with all participants in the Sabor".
Seks went on to say that the most responsible persons for the functioning of parliamentary democracy was the Sabor President.
He added that two days ago he held talks with Ivica Racan, the leader of the strongest opposition party, Social Democratic Party (SDP) and the coordinator of the parliamentary opposition, on all objections coming not only from opposition MPs but also by MPs from the ranks of the parliamentary majority.
Seks urged all parliamentary parties to show good will and remove all causes which "generate the tensions".
The Sabor Speaker informed the press that he had convened the 11th session of parliament which would last from 3 November to 15 December. The agenda of the new session contains 47 items.
