Hebrang and Wu Yi agreed that the two countries' relations were good and friendly, but there was room for better economic cooperation. Hebrang relayed the Croatian government's plan to intensify economic relations with China, the statement said.
The two officials exchanged opinions on concrete areas of cooperation such as tourism, production and distribution of power, production and sale of food, and the pharmaceutical industry.
Wu Yi hailed the Croatian government's plan to advance business cooperation with China and added that the Chinese market was opened to Croatian companies.
Hebrang is on an official visit to China between October 22 and 29, at the invitation of the Chinese government.
