ZAGREB, Oct 19 (Hina) - A senior government source on Tuesday dismissedmedia speculation that the government would slow down and even freezeits important activities because of participation of Deputy PrimeMinister Jadranka Kosor in the presidential race.
ZAGREB, Oct 19 (Hina) - A senior government source on Tuesday dismissed media speculation that the government would slow down and even freeze its important activities because of participation of Deputy Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor in the presidential race.

The source announced that the work on an EU pre-accession economic programme, the national budget for 2005 and tax reform would be completed next month. The pre-accession economic programme will be presented to the Cabinet already next week and after that to the government's social and coalition partners in the Parliament.

The source said that Kosor would not freeze her term in office as Minister of Family and War Veterans' Affairs and Intergenerational Solidarity, but that her day-to-day ministerial duties would be performed by State Secretary Tomislav Ivic.
