"Hague tribunal investigators have announced their visit for November 7, but the defence has not yet decided whether Boskoski will agree to be interviewed," Zvonimir Hodak, a member of the defence team, told Hina, explaining that his client's consent to the interview would depend on the result of hearings of witnesses by the investigating judge of the Pula County Court, which will take place in the Macedonian capital Skopje next week.
Hodak said that the tribunal investigators had been conducting a preliminary investigation of Boskoski for quite some time and the reason for their arrival was most probably the murder of seven immigrants and clashes between Albanian rebels and Macedonian security forces that took place three years ago when Boskoski was interior minister.
The lawyer said that the interview could take place in Zagreb's Remetinec District Prison between November 8 and 11 provided his client consented to talk to the investigators.
Investigating judge Ivica Stanic travels to Skopje next week to hear 22 witnesses and four detainees charged with killing the seven immigrants.
Boskoski, who holds dual Macedonian and Croatian citizenship, was arrested on the basis of a Macedonian arrest warrant on August 31 in Bale near the northern coastal resort town of Rovinj, his official place of residence. He has been in custody since then.
